On the right is a mural created by local artist, Mandy Dale, great granddaughter of Mr. Hackett. This Mural was created on a wall in Local resident, Barry Bradfield's house.

The photos above were provided by Mandy Dale. The young girl in the four photos is Mandy's granny, Doreen Howell (nee Hackett). The older woman in the doorway (left) is Doreen's mother, Rose. They lived in Yorkshire at the time but used to spend their summers in Fountainstown, staying in the building that is now Angela's shop.                                                                                                                                                               Photos taken by Edward H Hackett

A busy day at the beach (date unknown)

Picture
The date that this photo was taken is unknown. Cars registered in Cork City between 1903 and 1946 were given sequential plates from PI 1 to PI  9999. The car in the front of the photo has a PI 99*4 registration (third number missing) so this photo was more than likely taken in the 50's - 60's.
